With the approach of spring, it is time to think about sun protection.

Everyone is familiar with the SPF rating, it provides consumers information about protection against sunburn producing UVB rays in the 290-320nm range….but no information about the level of UVA protection.

Critical Wavelength is the only way consumers know if they are getting appropriate UVA (320-400nm) protection.  UVA rays are responsible for both solar aging and are strongly linked to BRAF positive melanomas.

Critical Wavelength measures how far across the UVB/UVA range a sunscreen’s protective “umbrella” extends.

Seek out a product’s Critical Wavelength, it might just save your skin!
